Sell more than a seat
Signal Hill helps airlines in southern Africa design fare families, extras and upgrade offers that passengers choose, and price them on evidence.
An airline can sell every seat at one price, or let each passenger choose what to pay for: a bag, a seat, the right to change. We help airlines in southern Africa design that choice, price it, test it on real routes and keep what earns more.
An offer has four parts, and we work on all four
Start with one part or take them in order. Each piece of work ends with something your team runs without us.

Many passengers want to pay only for what they use. We design a small set of fare families, decide what each one includes and which extras are sold on their own, based on how your passengers book today.
What you get
- Fare families with their rules and what each includes
- A list of extras by route type
- A booking class map with room to grow

We set the price of each fare and extra, the step from one to the next, and how many seats to sell at each price, by route and season. Rival fares go in every day.
What you get
- Prices and steps by route type and season
- Rules for when to match a rival and when to hold
- Seat limits for each price level

Passengers decide at several moments: when they book, in the weeks before the flight, at check-in and at the gate. We decide which offer appears at each moment and at what price.
What you get
- Offers after booking: seats, bags and upgrades
- Check-in and gate offers with prices
- A test plan for each new offer

A passenger who books through a travel agent should see the same choices as one on your website. We set how each fare and extra is filed and shown in the GDS, NDC and your own channels, and measure what each channel costs you.
What you get
- Fare families filed so agents can sell them
- Net cost per booking by channel and market
- A direct-sales plan with targets you can check
Try it: design the offer on one flight
One flight with 70 seats and a week of people who want different things. Choose how many fares to sell and what each costs, then see who buys what.
The offer builder loads as you reach it and needs JavaScript.
Every engagement has three steps, and you can stop after any of them
- Step 12 to 3 weeks
Read
We read 24 months of your bookings, tickets and extras sales, and the offers your rivals show on the same routes. You get a written diagnosis: the size of each opportunity and how sure we are of it.
- Step 28 to 12 weeks
Test
We change fares, products or offers on a small set of routes and leave comparable flights untouched, so the result can be measured. Your finance team signs off the method before the first change. If the numbers do not move, you will see that too.
- Step 34 weeks
Hand over
Your team runs the new offer and the routine behind it. We train your people, write the procedures and stay on call for review.
